Thank you for joining us as we celebrate our 12th Anniversary Season! Things may look a bit different this year but our mission remains the same. 2020 has been tough! But we’ve kept going. We’ve employed 12 dancers on multiple projects. We’ve offered free online classes for our community, including Bahama Village Music Program, MARC, and beyond. Despite the odds, we’ve continued to complete our mission. We’re not stopping now.

Our 2020-2021 online season includes:
1. education + outreach programs, including FREE online classes
2. collaborations with visual artists & musicians
3. the development of a new outreach program to support incarcerated women
4. the development of new original works by Kyla Piscopink & dancers
...& more to come!

Education + Outreach

DKW is committed to finding creative ways to engage the community and remain connected to one another while staying safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. One way we’ve been able to do that is through offering free online classes for our friends at Bahama Village Music Program, MARC, & beyond!

We hope you’ll enjoy these free classes - from our living rooms, kitchens, and basements to yours!

StylePointe Retrospective

StylePointe Fashion Show explores the relationship between Fashion and Dance. This hybrid showcase tells the story behind the designers’ collections, through dance. Fashion Designers and Dance Choreographers collaborate to choreograph dance vignettes from the inspiration behind the Designers’ collections to present at StylePointe, during New York Fashion Week. Recommended by The New York Times in 2019 and in 2018.

Dixon Place pays tribute to the extraordinary collaborative work of gifted dancemakers and designers who have brought so much beauty, innovation and glamour to the StylePointe runway. Join us in celebrating “StylePointe – 5 years in retrospect”, via zoom, to connect with everyone who have been involved in this project since its inception in 2015 and to rejoice and cherish all the fashion outfits that were presented and the dance works that were choreographed and performed for the last 5 years. The live streaming of the video compilation will share introduction videos of the participants and 1.5 to 2 min excerpts of all the dance vignettes presented in these showcases.

The ReMARCable Dance Project

We are proud to announce The 5th Annual ReMARCable Dance Project!

The ReMARCable Dance Project is an innovative dance program that combines the talents of Dance Key West, Steve Burns (Blue’s Clues, Moth Storyteller, Young Sheldon, STEVENSTEVEN) and MARC (an amazingly wonderful, local nonprofit serving adults with developmental disabilities).

This exciting program intends to benefit MARC clients by helping them improve coordination, participate in mild physical activity and provide an opportunity for socialization, all while learning the art of dance. We believe that artistic expression and physical activity are imperative to good health, and that every creative voice should be nurtured.

For the fifth year in a row, MARC clients team up with Dance Key West & Steve, to learn dance moves, create choreography, perform and have fun!

Please join us for “Poetry in Motion” at The Studios of Key West (Postponed - New Date TBA).
